Here’s how it works:
AqueousPro™ BioCleanse Treatment Steps
- Hyper dose injection: AqueousPro 50 is professionally dosed at a higher-than-normal concentration, using our specialised BioCleanse Unit.
- Contact time: Typically, four hours to ensure full biofilm breakdown occurs.
- Flushing: Dislodged material is flushed fully out of the pipework.
- Post-treatment monitoring: Ensuring biofilm removal is complete.
Oxidative Action
- AqueousPro™ 50 contains hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), is a professional grade oxidizer.
- When applied in a hyper dose, it rapidly reacts with organic matter, breaking down biofilm matrix structures (made of polysaccharides, proteins, and DNA).
- This oxidative action disrupts the protective slime layer that biofilms use to shield bacteria.
Silver Ions for Extended Disinfection
- The silver ions (Ag) in AqueousPro™ 50 work as a secondary disinfectant.
- Silver enhances the bactericidal effect by binding to microbial cell walls, damaging their metabolism, and preventing short term regrowth.
Penetration and Detachment of Biofilm
- The combination of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) and silver (Ag) allows deeper penetration into biofilm layers.
- The biofilm structure dissolves and detaches from pipe walls.
- The released bacteria are exposed and killed by the disinfectant.
Rinse and Flush Process
- After sufficient contact time, the system is flushed to remove detached biofilm and debris.
- A final low-dose treatment may also be applied to the water tank for residual disinfection and biofilm prevention.
