POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A step by step guide on how to complete your water tank service.
Day of Service – Confirm AqueousPro™ 50 is Effective
STEP ONE: TURN ON ALL YOUR TAPS
Open all internal and external water outlets (taps, showers, sinks, etc) and run for a few minutes* to draw freshly sanitised water from the water tank, through your pump and into all pipework throughout the property.
*NB: Tap run times may vary depending on distance water travels from tank to tap.
STEP TWO: USE TEST STRIPS PROVIDED
Confirm Sanitised Water. Dip one test strip into the water sample for approx. 2 seconds and remove. Wait 30 seconds. Hold test strip next to colour match chart below, then read your results.
STEP THREE: CONFIRM PPM
Ensure that colour concentration is between 10 ppm and 25 ppm to confirm sanitised water is present within the pipework of your water supply system.
Allow adequate contact time for optimal sanitisation
AqueousPro™ requires 4 to 24-hours contact time through your pipework to effectively destroy bacteria and biofilm build-up. Don’t drink water during this time period.
24-HOURS AFTER SERVICE
During the 24-hour contact period, AqueousPro™ activation occurs, which destroys bacteria and will decontaminate biofilm built up within the water pipework of your property. To confirm AqueousPro™ has effectively sanitised your water supply network, you can test using the following procedure:
STEP 4: POST TREATMENT TESTING
Run water from the furthest outlet/tap from the water tank and retest using the instructions as per step 2. above. The ideal test result will show a concentration of 5-15 ppm concentration of AqueousPro™.
High biofilm/bacteria build up: In the case of serious biofilm growth contained within the pipework, you may expect some detached biofilm to pass through the water outlets until the pipes are clear. Generally, this will clear your tap aerator(s)/nozzles and/or shower head(s) as needed.
Low test results: If the test strips reads less than 5 ppm after 24-hours, please contact your local PWS Water Technician for further advice.
Storage conditions of test strips: Avoid touching test pad or exposing the test strips to sunlight and moisture. Store opened containers in a cool (but not refrigerated), dark, dry place. Remove only as many strips as are required and seal bag immediately. Use or dispose correctly. Test strips can be disposed as normal trash waste.
Water Supply Management Plan: Ensure that your Rainwater System Management Plan is updated and includes this service/treatment in accordance with local, state and national requirements.

Post Rainwater Tank Treatment Information
Now that your rainwater tanks have been cleaned and sanitised, our food grade water sanitiser AqueousPro™ needs to work its magic and kill bacteria and viruses not only in your tanks, but through the pipework into your house.
While AqueousPro™ has immediately started working in your tanks, it takes time to work its way through your pipework and to the taps inside your property. For this reason, we recommend checking the effectiveness of the product with the AqueousPro™ Test Strips provided by your Pristine Water Systems Water Technician.
AqueousPro™ may dislodge any build-up of biofilm that has accumulated in your pipework over time. It won’t take long to pass through your taps, but it is something you should be aware of. Again, if you have any issues or queries, just contact your local Pristine Water Technician, and they will only be too happy to help explain.
Please follow these instructions to ensure your water supply is properly sanitised and Pristine! Click on each step for details.
